With over twenty five years in the technology field, Ms. Taylor Russell has held key operations, alliance, legal and technology management positions. She combines business, technical and legal hands-on experience and education with in-depth intellectual property law experience. Drawing on both her intellectual property law and business management background, she helps clients find the right way to manage and protect their intellectual property in technology related business transactions. Ms. Taylor Russell was formerly Intellectual Property and General Counsel at Infoglide Software Corporation. She subsequently was named Vice President of Strategic Alliances and managed the relationships and alliances for the company’s customers and partners. She was later named Vice President of Operations for the company’s Global Government Business Unit. She was responsible for that business unit’s day-to-day operations in Austin, Washington, D.C. and in the United Kingdom. Prior to receiving her JD degree, Ms. Taylor Russell utilized her advanced electrical engineering degree for over ten years managing multi-million dollar hardware and software engineering development projects at a Fortune 500 technology company. She designed and developed large-scale hardware and software real-time, distributed architecture computer systems along with modeling and simulation systems from concept, system design, integration and test, and manufacturing through customer delivery. Ms. Taylor Russell was responsible for managing all aspects of engineering hardware and software development contracts and directed a large staff of engineers and outside contractors. Besides her industry and legal experience, Ms Taylor Russell has worked closely with the AeA (formerly the American Electronics Association), an industry group based in Washington, D. C. that is the nation’s largest high-tech trade association. With the AeA, she was a member of a Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration joint government and industry committee to address commercial software intellectual property licensing and ensuring small business participation in government contracts and grants. Ms. Taylor Russell is an Adjunct Instructor in Intellectual Property Law at The University of Texas and is the author of many published articles on intellectual property law, focusing on trademark, patent, and software issues. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for Theatre Action Group, a local Austin nonprofit association that utilizes interactive theatre to help children and teenagers find solutions to social problems.
